Fraternal Organizations Present Holy Angels & Destiny Schools with Awards

Destiny School, Pictured above not in order, Destiny School Teacher of the Year Cardella Williamson, 1 st Place essay- Tabbatha Peak, 2nd Place essay-Luis Martinez, 3rd place essay-Sariah Whitmer. Perfect attendance: Kaiya Hicks, Bridget Cook, Sophia Elgo, John Holliday. Bike winner: Katreena Ruiz, Jacob Green, Joe Crago Commander VFW, Bill Sneyd Past Monarch Rameses Grotto, Paul Nix Past Monarch Rameses Grotto, Billie Nix Ramessettes, Cruz Mendoza Knights of Columbus, Scott Teichrow White Mountain Masons & Eastern Star, Joe Ford, American Legion.: Representatives of the following organizations presented plaques, certificates, bikes, and cash awards to lucky students and teachers of Holy Angels and Destiny schools: Altan Kol & Rameses Grotto, The Ramesettes, White Mountain Masons & Eastern Star, VFW Post 1704 and Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion Post #4 Students were asked to write an essay on which teacher they thought should be named teacher of the year. Based on their essays, a teacher of the year was chosen, and 3 students were presented with a plaque and cash award. Additionally, all students that had perfect attendance received a certificate and cash. Each student, who had completed their reading requirements, had their name in a drawing for two chances to win a bicycle and helmet.

Regina Rodriguez Esparza Graduates With Honors
Regina Rodriguez Esparza, daughter of Louie and Linda Rodriguez, graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University with her Bachelors in Nursing on May 1, 2009 and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She has applied to the Masters program at Grand Canyon University to study and become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Todd Werner CEO and Susan Nick CNO acknowledged Regina at the 2009 Recognition Ceremony, "Nurses in History: Building a Healthy America" for her emphasis on people, service excellence and professional practice at Banner Desert. Regina is very excited that her capstone project to Decrease Depression in Perinatal loss has inspired an outcome for Banner Desert Medical Center. Regina's "Perinatal Loss Hospice Birth Plan" has been implemented at Banner Desert Hospital and has been sent to all Arizona Banner facilities and Banner Corporation Hospitals that have a Perinatal Loss Program.
Globe Public Library Summer Reading Program
