The Summer Youth Musical Theatre Program (SYMTP) recently announced the dates for its production of Disney’s “Aristocats Kids” at the High Desert Middle School Auditorium.

“Everybody wants to be a cat” in this beloved Disney classic full of unbelievable twists and turns. When an eccentric millionaire leaves her money to her high-society cats, the greedy butler plots a dastardly catnap caper. It’s up to Roquefort the mouse with Thomas O’Malley and his band of swingin’ jazz cats to save the day.

“Aristocats Kids” will have two productions featuring two age casts: Sprouts, ages 6-9, and Seedlings, ages 9-12. Each production is 40 minutes and will be very different, so SYMTP encourages theater lovers to see both.

The SYMTP provides youth performing arts education to nearly 1,500 children in the Globe-Miami-San Carlos region and is made possible by the generous support of the Globe Unified School District, the United Fund of Globe-Miami and many local sponsors.
