Badilla Fundraisers scheduled

Posted

The family of Jared Badilla is coming together to help fund raise for ongoing medical expenses acquired after a recent injury. Jared, a dad of seven, cut his arm on a broken window that he was repairing at his home. The damage to his forearm was extensive needing 26 repairs and ongoing physical therapy. Jared was told that his arm could take anywhere from six months to a year. His medical expenses have already reached $300,000, and the ongoing drive three days a week to physical therapy in the valley has put a strain on their finances.

Jared has been an active volunteer in the community with his children and their extra curricular activities. With his injury, he won’t be able to be as involved as he was.

The family is doing a Taco fundraiser on Nov. 16. You can get a dozen chicken tacos for $25 or a dozen Machaca for $30.

They are also hosting a softball tournament on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Globe Community Center. The entry is $300 per team and the winners take back the entry fee. There will also be a horseshoe tournament, jumping castle, games for the kids, food and drinks. Raffle tickets are being sold for a “Pig Raffle”.

Tickets are $10 for one or $20 for three and the winner receives 140 pounds of pork.

To register a team contact Yvette at 928-961-0219 or to purchase any raffle tickets you can also contact Deneen at the Body Shoppe Salon.

The family would like to thank their sponsors who are making this possible: Copper Bistro, Copper Hen, Dairy Queen, Guayo’s El Rey, Judy’s Cook House, Los Robertos, The Body Shoppe, Rainbow Flowers, Robert Beraun, and Yvette Vargas Photography.
