The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a hard freeze watch, which is in effect from late Wednesday night (Feb. 6) through Thursday morning (Feb. 7).
Temperatures: As low as 26.
Timing: Shortly after midnight through mid-morning on Thursday, Feb. 7.
Impacts: Freezing temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation and damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Below freezing temperatures could be deadly to pets left outdoors as well as persons without appropriate clothing.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: A hard freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
