CASA of Gila County Shows Appreciation to Those Who Served

Posted

Monday May 31 is Memorial Day and CASA of Gila County would like to show appreciation to our U.S. Armed Forces. Those who have served and continue to serve their country are an inspiration.

We cannot forget the reason for the Memorial Day holiday – honoring those who have lost their lives while selflessly serving our country. CASA of Gila County pays their respect to these heroes.

Many CASA volunteers are Veterans who continue to serve their community by speaking up for children who have been abused or neglected. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.

While we spend time celebrating with friends and family, is important to take the time to remember the brave men and women in our county. In Arizona about 10 percent of the adult population are Veterans, according to The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has a 24/7 Veterans Crisis Line available at 1-88-273-8255 x 1, text 838255, or confidential chat online at www.VeteransCrisisLine.net
