The Denny’s restaurant on E. Ash and E. South streets next to the Best Western Copper Hills Inn opened at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, and is now open 24/7.

Designated Operator Alfredo Rodriguez said he is excited to be in Globe.

“It’s an incredible place and we’re happy to be here,” he said. “Everybody here has been amazing.”

The restaurant, operated by Feast Restaurants, DBA Denny’s, has already provided more than 90 jobs in Globe, with hires coming from throughout the Copper Corridor and as far away as Superior.

According to Rodriguez, the company first started looking at the location two years ago, but negotiations became serious about nine months ago.

“This is a great opportunity to come and serve the community in Globe,” Rodriguez said.

He added that in order to bring the building up to code and prepare for service the inside had to be taken down to a “skeleton.”

The restaurant held a soft opening on Saturday, Aug. 25 for local police and firefighters and to give new staff members a chance to work under very busy conditions.
