FBLA and FCCLA invite the public to open house at Cobre Valley Center for the Arts

Join the Globe High School FBLA and FCCLA programs for a night of fun, food and photography. Digital Communication students, who are members of Future Business Leaders of America, and Culinary students, who are members of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, are inviting the community to get a glimpse into their programs.

They will be hosting an open house at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts on Sept. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be finger foods, the photography exhibit and a silent auction. Donations for the programs also will be accepted, which help students travel to conferences and competitions.

Among the intricate sculptures and beautiful plants in the south gallery of the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts, you will find photographs hung all over the white walls. The photos include a variety of subjects, including cats, horses, students and flowers, and all were taken by Digital Photography students in spring 2022. The following student photographers (and some recent graduates) are featured in the show: Lili Ana Williamson, Taylor Bowan, Savannah James, Seth Patterson, Catrina Gore, Megan Freeman, Devani Solberg, Makena Dzera, Jaci Jensen Jones, Julissa Cepress and Felawna Salt. More photos and photographers will be added for the open house, and all are for sale.

The food that is being prepared for the event will be crafted by the culinary class. The class is becoming known for catering and serving at events throughout Globe-Miami. The community is welcome to come and taste the creations that the students work so hard on.

Also, keep an eye on CVCA for future student displays. Wil Bowen, gallery manager, is eager to continue working with the students and school staff to help intertwine school projects with the community.
