High Desert Humane Society Cat Rescue thanks community

Out Grand Re-opening was a great success do to the numerous volunteers who gave their time, talent and money in order to make this a winner for the cats and kittens.

We had volunteers like Brenda Sullivan who came up with this great idea and Jim Sulivan, Pat DeYoung, Stephanie Mack, Laura Nordan, Jonathan Demers, Sandy Dumler, Jorge Plouvier, Mark Olson, John Michulecko, Bonnie Lewis, Kathleen Marks and Ann Klinger.

For our raffle baskets and items that were sold to help the HDHS Cat Rescue a very special thank you to Sandy Dumler, Beth Mathers, Virginia Formanach, Jackie and Dave Stoklas, Bonnie Merril, Jendeans Sartain, Marilen Clegg, Pat DeYoung and Randy Bengston. Another special thank you to Dr. Janet Cline for contributing a gift certificate and Cathy Volner of AAA Lock Service in Globe who contributed much of her time along with a generous monetary donation. Once again, our furry friends thank you for all that you did to help make this fundraiser a huge success.

Our goal for this event was to raise enough money to provide some much needed maintence on our building’s exterior. We were able to reach our goal and now we will start improvements. Also, the Grand Re-opening provided the opportunity for several adoptions of our cats and kittens to occur. They now have a forever home.

We will continue to offer our “Misty Special” so that more of our feline friends can find a forever home also. We still have several cats that have been in this shelter for over three years and all they need is to be noticed and they will find a good home. They are beautiful and calm and just want to be loved. Come by and see them all.

Once again, we are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering, we would really appreciate it and you can contact Cheryle Mariscal through our Facebook page High Desert Humane Society Cat Rescue with personal message. Please leave a contact number.
