Norma Louise “Sally” Powell (Willis), age 71 of Globe, Ariz. passed away Monday Sept. 30, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., with her family by her side.
Sally was born in Miami, Ariz. on Dec. 13, 1947 and was a long time Arizona resident.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents: Norman Willis, Tom Rose and Joni Towler (Van Meter) as well as her In-Laws: Bazel and Katharine Powell.

Sally graduated from Tucson High School (Tucson. AZ) and lived in various locations before returning to the Globe-Miami area where she met her husband, Bobby Powell, of 48 years.

Bobby and Sally made Globe their home and raised their two children, Brandon and Stephanie, there.

Sally was a homemaker, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Family was very important to Sally and much of her time was spent taking care of or looking after others. Sally was also very involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sports. Sally loved crafts and making/creating special items for her family. In recent years Sally helped run a family business with her husband, son and grandson; Elite Safety, in Globe, Ariz.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Powell of Globe, Ariz.; her son Brandon Powell and his wife Lennette of Mesa, Ariz.; her daughter Stephanie Fox (Powell) of McMinnville, OR.

Sally was also survived by her sister, Virgie “Sue” Middleton (Willis) of Colorado Springs. CO.

Additionally, Sally was survived by five grandchildren: Zachary Powell (Globe, Ariz.),
Deric Fox (Mcminnville. OR),
Ryan Powell (Globe, Ariz.),
Kylie Fox (Mcminnville. OR)
Dezirae Lopez (Mesa,  Ariz.).
She also had two nieces, six nephews and numerous grand nieces and nephews. Her step mom Betty Rose (Globe, Ariz.), step brother Alan Rose (Globe, Ariz.) and step sister Lana Rose (Mesa, Ariz.)

A celebration of life and viewing will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 9 a.m. at the Miami High School Auditorium, with services at 10 a.m.
