GLOBE – On Oct. 3, Heritage Health Care Center hired Renee Goodwin as its new executive director.

Goodwin has a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Leo University. She has worked as a nursing home administrator since July 2020.

“The team at Heritage has shown me what a true powerhouse looks like,” Goodwin said. “We all operate like a well-oiled machine – entirely for the benefit of our residents. It is a building and a company I can feel  proud about working for.”

When asked about her favorite part of the job, Goodwin cited the daily rounds she makes with the floor staff and residents.

“I feel like this is the type of job where I can make a difference in someone’s life every single day,” she said. “The relationships and the friendships I build with my residents and my staff define who I am, and I work hard to do what is best for them.”

Goodwin said her goals for the facility are to maintain their 5-star status, improve their resident experience and increase their staff retention.

Located at 1300 E. South St., Heritage Health Care Center is one of 10 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Arizona managed by Life Care Centers of America.
