Robert Lee (Bob) Wynn was born March 10, 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa and entered into eternal rest on Oct. 30, 2019 at his home in Globe surrounded by his loving family.
Bob retired from the City of Globe on Dec. 10, 2008 and continued to live in the house he built until the time of his passing. He was an active member of the Pentecostals of Globe Church and had been baptized in the Name of Jesus on March 25, 2001.
His giving spirit and friendship touched so many lives throughout his life. He helped others all he could. If you knew him, there is no doubt that he remodeled, rebuilt or restored something for you -- whether it was a car, a house, or a belief that there are still good people in the world. Do not dwell on his death as this is just one single moment in time. Remember him for the lessons he lived, the encouragement he gave and the love he shared. Remember him for how he touched your life, how he gave of himself, and how his legacy will continue through you.
Survivors include two daughters – Leslie Clarke of Apache Junction, Ariz. and Ellie (Kenneth) Monteaux of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren – Elizabeth (Angel) Mendoza of Globe, Ariz., Virginia Hendry of Corrigan Texas, John Hendry of Globe, Ariz. and Erin Monteaux of Livingston, Texas; 12 great grandchildren – Brenton, Noah, Madison, Gracie, Bailey, Rylan, Ryter, Larissa, SummerAnn, Alecc, Alyssa and Brylee; four brothers – Chris (Sheri) Wynn of St. Louis, Missouri, Scott (Sherry) Smithhart of Runnels Iowa, Todd (Melinda) Smithhart of Ottumwa Iowa and Tony (Susie) Smithhart of Des Moines Iowa; six sisters – Connie (Kelli) Smithhart of Concrete Washington; Debbie (Mike) Day of Moline Illinois, Laura Larkin of Des Moines Iowa, Becky Heth of Waukee, Iowa, Patricia (Rick) Meiners of Des Moines, Iowa and Linda (Bob) Monserrate of Clive Iowa; step-mother Donna Smithhart of Ottumwa, Iowa; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Jean Wynn, mother Emmeline Wynn, step-father Robert G. Wynn, father Lester Smithhart Jr., brother Jerry Wynn and son-in-law Dave Clarke.
The funeral service was Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. with visitation at 9 a.m. at the Pentecostals of Globe Church, 425 N. Devereaux, Globe, Ariz.
