One of Globe’s own, Cindy Scarborough, has continued her quest to reach one of the highest level of degrees in her field.

In 2015, the Arizona Silver Belt highlighted her accomplishment of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In October 2018, Scarborough received her Master of Science and Family Nursing Practitioner (NP).

Though she was not a traditional student, Scarborough continued her education with the encouragement of her mother, Judy Scarborough, a retired special reading teacher, and the support of her longtime boyfriend Cosmo Torres.

All the while, Scarborough paid tribute to her late father, Bill Scarborough, science teacher and coach to many.

Scarborough has recently found employment in her new role as a NP with City Health Services in Mesa, practicing narcotic-free pain control, allergy and hormone therapy and regenerative medicine.
