Tommy Marie Clark Blumer, age 89, of Young passed away on Dec. 2, 2018 at the Faubush Family Home in Globe.

She was born in Phoenix on March 17, 1929. She was the daughter of Pauline (Jaeger) Clark and Bill Clark of Young, Ariz. Tommy’s ancestors came to Pleasant Valley in the early 1900s. She grew up in Young, but after her parent’s separation lived in several small mining towns in the state with her mother. When she was a teenager, she returned to Young to live with her dad and stepmother, Penny and her three half-brothers, Guy Wayne, Kenneth and Jimmy Clark.

In 1952 she married Eddie Dale Blumer who returned to Young after serving in the Army, and they moved to Globe for the next 20 years. In 1973, they moved back to Young.

Tommy Marie is survived by her husband Eddie Dale Blumer of Globe, daughters Bethel Bennett (Bill), Helen Romero of Casa Grande, Barbra Billingslea (Beau) of Wickenburg and Letha Cline (Woody) of Young, two half-sisters, Frances Dee DuPont of Eugene, Ore. and Bernita Orona of Bakersfield, Calif., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Tommy Marie was a homemaker, wonderful cook, devoted wife and mother. She will be missed by her children and grandchildren. Tommy Marie believed in Jesus Christ as her lord and savior. Therefore, as the Apostle Paul said, “To be absent from the body, is to be in the presence of the lord.” Her family rests in that confidence.

The funeral services took place at Young Baptist Church, followed by interment in the Young Cemetery.
