Desert Trash Pickup: Got a 4x4 or OHV? Volunteers with Natural Restorations remove trash and graffiti from outdoor recreation and wilderness areas – and issued a call this week to Globe-Miami 4x4 and OHV enthusiasts who’d like to join a team effort cleaning up sections along Hewitt Station Road Saturday morning Jan. 18.

Pre-register ahead of time with an email to contact@naturalrestorations.org; participants who spend that Saturday morning helping clean up the desert are invited to a group lunch sponsored by Red Bear Outfitters during the 11th Annual Environmental Stewardship Event at Hewitt Station starting at 8 a.m.

Register by email or online at naturalrestorations.org or connect on Facebook.

Organizers need volunteers who have trucks and trailers to help haul trash back to dumpsters at the stating area.

Clubs are welcome and encouraged to sign up; if you have a 4x4, OHV, or target-shooting club, we’d love to have you join us!

This cleanup project is financed in part by a grant from the Arizona Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Recreation Fund administered by Arizona State Parks. Other questions?
