Canyon Sounds concert series to present Black Oak Ensemble

The Gold Canyon Arts Council wraps up its 2022-23 Canyon Sounds concert series this month, with one of the most innovative and exciting chamber ensembles on the international stage.

Praised for their insightful performances and fierce eloquence, the Black Oak Ensemble comes to Gold Canyon Friday night, March 24 at 7 p.m. Passionate advocates of new works, they present exciting programs from Bach to the music of today. The trio is made up of cellist David Cunliffe, violinist Desirée Ruhstrat and violist Aurélien Fort Pederzoli. “This is a threesome that often sounds like six, or like one, and makes magic, insightful, committed and masterful performances,” stated Classics Today.

Their March 24 performance will be held at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, located at 6640 S. Kings Ranch  Rd. in Gold Canyon. Tickets are $30 for adults and $5 for students K-12. They can be purchased at goldcanyonarts.org or the following ticket outlets:
