Florine Elizabeth Hart Hamilton passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born December 9, 1937 in Globe, Arizona and the only child of Warden and Florence (Trenear) Hart.
She graduated from Globe High School in 1955 and Arizona State University in 1959 with a degree in Accounting. After working for two smaller companies for about four years she worked for the City of Phoenix for fourteen years.
Florine married Choc (Charles) Hamilton in 1971. He was an Ironworker and a team roper. Florine really enjoyed going to the rodeos and ropings.
They moved to Chloride, Arizona in 1976 where she enjoyed the outdoor life, their horses, taking photos, and loving her many pets. She and Choc also greatly enjoyed music and dancing, especially county.
In later years Florine loved watching the Phoenix Suns and the Diamondbacks and was very interested in helping animal rescue groups. She was a member of “For the Luv of Paws” animal rescue and also the “Daughters of Mohave County Pioneers”. She loved listening to almost any kind of music but especially Dixieland and Country.
Florine and choc were married for 41 years until his death in October of 2012.
Florine was preceded in death by her mother and father, Aunt Bessie (Sam) Lane, Uncle Clement Trenear, and Aunt Dora (Joe) Duke.
She is survived by Choc’s son Bill Hamilton in Dolan Springs, Arizona, and his grandchildren including Brenda Stockbridge of Kingman, Craig hamilton (wife Maria Hamilton) in Kingman, and AnnMarie Hamilton (husband Phil Bonde) in Princeville, Hawaii and his great grandchildren Sharon Stockbridge, K.C. Stockbridge, Chase Hamilton, Boone Hamilton, and Gunner Hamilton. She is also survived by her cousin Janine Chandler in Idaho and several other distant cousins.
Florine’s Celebration of Life was held at the Sutton Memorial Funeral Home located at 1701 Sycamore Avenue, Kingman, Arizona on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
