Food and Hygiene Drive

Posted

On Saturday, October 12, the Homeless Coalition of Cobre Valley in collaboration with Gila County Public Health and Community Services and Sara K Foundation will be having a food/hygiene drive.  The drive will be held at the Claypool Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints parking lot at 4247 Broadway, Claypool, Az.  When you enter on the side of the Tri-City Fire Dept. you will drive up to the canopy and drop off your donation.

We are not just looking for food/hygiene donations; we are also in much need of financial donations.  We have had to suspend assistance with bus fares, motel stays for emergency situations and other financial needs.  If you would like to donate financially, we will accept cash or you can write your check to Homeless Coalition of Cobre Valley and drop it off at the same location or you can mail it to: PO Box 1173 Claypool, Az.  85532.  You can also donate by Zelle using our email address: HCCV2024@gmail.com.

As a thank you for your donation, we have collected coupons and different items from some businesses and agencies around the community that we have put into bags donated by Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center. We would like to thank them as well as the following: Fernando Shipley at State Farm, Freeport-McMoRan, Horizon Health and Wellness, Arizona Youth Partnership, Hollis Cinemas 4, Desert Oasis Wellness Center, Pretty Kind Boutique, La Luz Del Dia, Copper Cities Coffee, Guayo’s El Rey, Life Prints Designs Embroidery, Jumbo Chinese Restaurant, Irene’s Real Mexican Food, Kachina Properties, La Casita, Service First Realty and The Knotty Fox.

The Homeless Coalition meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Divine Grace Presbyterian Church located at 305 Live Oak, Miami, Az.  Our meetings start at 5:30 p.m.  If you would like to get an invite for the Zoom meeting, send your email address to HCCV2024@gmail.com.
