Apricots, plums and peaches are ripe, early tomato varietals are red and tasty – and vendors have eggs from happy free-range chickens. Globe-Miami Farmers Market vendors set up outside Globe City Hall under the shade trees of Veterans Park at 8 a.m. each Saturday this summer. Kiddos can swing, climb and try out the array of new playground gear nearby, while you browse booths and tables with everything from artisanal bread and pastries to plants, chile powder, jams and jellies, locally grown lavender (plus soaps and lotions made from the aromatic herb) and much more.
Want to be a vendor for the market? Local non-profit and service organizations are welcome to set up informational tables for free, while for commercial vendors the fee is just $10, with no commission on sales. The current list of vendors includes Growing Wild, Chito The Chili Guy, Namaste Nursery, CocoTiki Bread Co., D & L Embroidery, Hysong Grows, Copper Valley Lavender, Home Sweet Home Wholesome Goods, Mocha Tree, RMBCO and Glass Galori.
