Globe-Miami students receive Eastern Arizona College scholarships

Three students from the Globe-Miami community were awarded scholarships during Eastern Arizona College’s 40th annual Scholarship Banquet, held September 13 in Thatcher.

Anisa Hanson, of Globe, received the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Scholarship, which is awarded to Eastern Arizona College nursing program students. She is the daughter of Michael Stark and Gina Hanson. This scholarship prioritizes students who are from the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center service area or are planning to work there.

Kyle Monroid, of Miami, was awarded the Meghan Hammer Memorial Scholarship. He is the son of Rommel and Christine Monroid. The scholarship was created in memory of Meghan Hammer by family and friends and is given every year to graduating seniors from Globe and Miami High Schools who plan to pursue music education at Eastern Arizona College.

Tabitha Voelker, of Globe, was the recipient of the George R. Bingham Scholarship, given to full-time Eastern Arizona College students who are pursuing a theatre and cinematic arts degree. She is the daughter of Jeannette and Daniel Voelker.
