Starting Sunday, June 16 the Globe Community Center Pool has expanded its open swim hours in its second season and is offering adult lap swim.
Open swim is now Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Adult lap swim is Monday-Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m. and Friday from 8-10:30 a.m.
In a recent update to the Globe City Council, pool manager Lisa Fletcher said staff is also looking to introduce water aerobics and seeking an instructor for swimming lessons.
Day passes to the pool are $1 (ages 0-17, age 55+) and $2 (ages 18-54). Monthly passes are also available for $20 (ages 0-17, age 55+), $30 (ages 18-54) and $50 (family; two adults, six total individuals), as well as annual passes ($50 for ages 0-17 and ages 55+, $60 for ages 18-54 and $100 for a family).
