Local volunteers clean up Mountain Breeze cemetery

Last Tuesday a local business that employs local and retired firefighters, Allegiance Builders, gave back to the community by sending a volunteer crew to clean up Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens Cemetery west of Miami. After reaching out to the property owner for permission, Allegiance Builders owner Lyle Wyatt, a City of Globe firefighter, sent a road crew with a brush hog, mower and weed eaters for a day’s work. These volunteers knocked down much of the overgrowth that was affecting Mountain Breeze. Fuels reduction work is among the firm’s services, and Wyatt said he was inspired to undertake the volunteer project after people asked Allegiance Builders road crew members if they would clean the area.

Wyatt has worked with Gila County on flood debris mitigation and the Arizona Department of Transportation regarding traffic control, as well as landscaping/hardscaping projects for the U.S. Forest Service Globe and Payson Ranger Districts. He has also provided management, equipment, manpower and insurance for the GilaPROUD-Hwy. 60 Cleanup and Maintenance Project, which cleans up and maintains the Globe-Miami corridor of US Highway 60.
