Michael Edward Gentsch, age 71, passed away at his home in Globe, Arizona, on Jan. 7, 2024. He was born on July 1, 1952, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to James Gentsch and Beverly Ann Abernathy.
Michael loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting. Michael worked as a carpenter in the Phoenix area and at the casino in Payson, Arizona. He proudly served our country for 30 years as a U.S. Navy Seal. He also walked a one-eyed mule named Buford across the state of Oregon. His kindness and company will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Kelly Gentsch; stepchildren Helen Mercer, Stephanie Mercer and Christopher Mercer; brothers Bill Gentsch and Robert Williams; and sister Linda Lou Williams.
