Rev. Harold Brumagin

Rev. Harold Raymond Brumagin, age 87, of Surprise, Az., passed away on April 23.

Harold was born in Lowville, Pa. on June 1, 1935 to the late Lewis Mintern Brumagin and Fern Leah Overton. He graduated Houghton College in New York State with a degree in Bible History and a minor in Psychology. Upon graduation in 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Donna Leigh Sherwood of Corry, Pa. He then obtained a Divinity Degree from United Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. After pastoring for a few years, he obtained his Master of Theology from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. He spent most of his years in ministry serving churches in the Southern California Arizona Nevada Methodist Conference. After more than 40 years of service, Harold retired in June 2001 from Christ Community United Methodist Church in Goodyear, Az.

First and foremost, Harold loved the Lord and studying His word. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching baseball, basketball and old Westerns.

He was preceded in death by his wife Donna, and sisters Nancy Johnson and June Hughes.

He is survived by his three sons, Randall (Bridget) of Wittmann, Az., Eric (Renee) of Lewisville, NC and Garrett of Prescott, Az.; grandchildren Morgan (Jennifer) Brumagin, Erika (Chanston) Cox, Bailey Brumagin and Leigh Ann Manuel; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. at New Song United Methodist Church in Surprise, Az.
