Ribbon cutting celebrates hiking park’s new name

A ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning celebrated the renaming of Round Mountain Park to Stanley M. Gibson Round Mountain Park, in honor of the former Globe mayor and longtime city councilman who was key in creating the popular system of hiking trails.
