Robert Anthony (Tony) Ramos, 58, of Miami, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 24, 2024, at his home. Tony was born May 26, 1966, to Lucia J. (Chacon) Cisneros and David G. Ramos of Miami.
Tony graduated from Miami High School in 1984 and went on to do various jobs, including construction, auto mechanic, rodeo work, and aircraft parts machining. At the age of 18, Tony was offered a job as a bouncer at the local bar. Tony was known as “Jack of all trades.”
His hobbies included fishing, and listening and dancing to country and rock music. Tony was an avid reader at times, almost finishing a novel in one day. In his earlier years, he collected comics, including “Conan the Barbarian” along with various Marvel and DC classic comics. Tony loved outdoor activities, especially camping.
Tony was briefly married to Connie Spurgeon of Miami, Arizona. The marriage ended amicably and though there were no biological children between Tony and Connie, Tony was briefly a step-father to three children and grandchildren.
Tony is preceded in death by his loving mother, Lucia J. (Chacon) Cisneros, grandparents, Robert (Tony’s namesake) and Emma Chacon of Miami, Arizona, Pilar (Java) M. (Lindy) Carbajal, Eleanor Ramos of Miami, Arizona, and Miguel J. (Mickey) Garcia of Miami, Arizona.
Tony is survived by his father, David G. (Sylvia) Ramos of Miami, Arizona, sisters Gina Y. (Gabriel) Rodriguez, Bianca (Lorie) Ramos of Miami, Arizona, and brothers David (Stephanie) Ramos, Jr. of Globe, Arizona, George T. (Tsuyuko) Ramos of Murrieta, California and Frank Ramos of Miami, Arizona. And though Tony has no children of his own, he was blessed with many nieces and nephews whom he adored very much.
A viewing was held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at the Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Arizona.
