Tillie (Falquez) Cooper passed away, April 3, 2025. She was 81 years old, just 3 weeks shy of her 82nd birthday. She moved from New Mexico to the Globe-Miami area when she was a teenager. It was here that she married and raised two children. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and friend.
If you asked Tillie what she enjoyed doing she would say, “playing in the dirt.” Which meant gardening. She loved to be out in the yard mowing the grass and taking care of her flowers. She had such a green thumb!
In addition to working in her yard, Tillie also enjoyed listening to music and dancing around while she was busy with her daily activities. Peppy Mexican music and older Country music were her favorites. Her favorite TV shows included Judge Judy, the new Matlock, Elsbeth and anything that made her laugh. Over the last few years, she began watching the Phoenix Suns and loved it! She was also a D-backs fan and was looking forward to watching baseball in between watching the Suns.
Tillie’s little dog Molly was an important part of her life for the last 10 years. It gave her great comfort knowing that Molly would be with her great granddaughter, Kristen, who loves her and spoils her rotten.
Tillie knew Jesus as her personal savior and was a member of Central Heights Baptist church for many years. She loved and served the Lord for as long as she was able to.
Tillie is survived by her daughter, Tina Wilkerson. Grandchildren, Veronica (Paul) Yanez, Amanda Wilkerson, Michael (Kim) Falquez, Jesus Falquez IV, and Jacob Falquez. She had 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Tillie is preceded in death by 2 infant sons, her first husband, Jesus G. Falquez, her second husband, Al Cooper, her son, Jesus M. Falquez III, and her son in law, Cedric Wilkerson, as well as her three sisters, Orlinda, Hermelinda and Joann.
She will be deeply missed by her family and close friends. But for those of us who know the Lord, we have the assurance of seeing her again one day in Heaven. Oh, what a day that will be!
A Celebration of Life service is set for Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 am. at Central Heights Baptist Church 5773 Main St. Globe, AZ. Tillie’s favorite color was red. She loved all bright colors, and it would be wonderful to see people wearing bright colors in her honor.
