Gila County Historical Museum’s biggest event of the year returns this month with the 6th Annual Old Dominion Days, planned for September 28-30. Thursday, September 28, opens the festivities with a tribute to ranching and the cattle industry in Gila County, and presentations on its past, present and future.

On Friday, Sept. 29, topics explore mining with progress reports from local mining companies, Pinto Valley Mine tours and mining activities for kids. Popular local band Neto and Imagine provide live music for the Friday night hamburger fry.

Saturday, September 30, follows a theme of “Our Ethnic Heritage” with stories of our Cornish, Slavic, Italian, Native American and African heritage. Buy tickets soon, before they sell out, for the Saturday evening chuck wagon supper with music by Tumbleweeds.
